In The Garden Spirit Tree Benefits Community Housing and Resources

by R.S. Walsh

In The Garden – Sanibel’s Retail Garden Center and Outdoor Showroom has planted a spirit tree that benefits local non-profits.   The Olive tree was chosen because it represents love and charity.    Spirit tree donations from November 1 – 30 will benefit Community Housing and Resources (CHR).

Canvas spirit tree tags can be purchased at the garden center gift shop for $5.00.  Purchasers can write well-wishes or blessings on the tags and attach them to the tree.  All tag sales will be donated to Community Housing and Resources.  In The Garden will match all tag sales.

Community Housing & Resources, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization partnering with the City of Sanibel to provide affordable housing for families and individuals who work full time on Sanibel or are retired or disabled longtime residents of Sanibel.

“CHR invests in our future by providing secure and stable housing for our dedicated community members,” said Lisa Walsh, owner of R.S.
